Cheeeeeeese, Gromit!

How to make CHEEEEEESE!!
OK, back to catching up.

I'm a rather tough person to get a hold of. My cell phone doesn't always feel the need to notify me when I have an incoming call...or even record me having missed your call...if I haven't left my cell phone in my desk, at work, for the weekend. I have several e-mail addresses, only some of which I use. And I'm really bad at returning messages.
When it comes to IM away messages, it gets tricky. Hopefully this will clear things up.
Away message: working on the impossible
Computer: Mac or PC
Program: google web-based IM
Avatar: not a CLUE!
Likelihood of me replying: Depends on the time. I have this on mostly during work, but will not reply until around 2 pm or later, usually later. If I stop typing, it's because I'm working and away from my desk.
Away message: Mac
Computer: Mac...
Program: Adium
Avatar: default purple flower
Likelihood of me replying: Low. Working on the Mac means that I'm working, and most likely that means that I'm working on something at the last minute, and I REALLY need to get it done. I might also be writing and shouldn't be distracted.
Away message: Available
Computer: Mac
Program: Adium
Avatar: default purple flower
Likelihood of me replying: High. I'm on my Mac, enjoying the fact that I don't have to be connected to anything.
Away message: anything other than the above
Computer: PC
Program: Trillian
Avatar: Teletubby-ish photo of a baby monkey...SHUDDUP! You think it's cute too!
Likelihood of me replying: Medium. Sometimes I leave my PC on while I'm away. Obviously, if it says that I'm buying groceries, that's where I am. If it says that I'm friggin' pissed and gonna kill the next living thing that comes my way (Bill excluded)...you get the idea. Most of the time, I'll respond when I return.
See previous post's comments :)
I need to talk to Bryan or Brett...
I want to show this if I ever get to teach geometry!! Nifty-ness! From Phil.
I just took a personality test, and I wanted to remember the scores. Anyone who knows me would not be at all shocked with the results.
| What Be Your Nerd Type? Your Result: Social Nerd You're interested in things such as politics, psychology, child care, and peace. I wouldn't go so far as to call you a hippie, but some of you may be tree-huggers. You're the type of people who are interested in bettering the world. You're possible the least nerdy of them all; unless you participate in other activies that paled your nerdiness compared to your involvement in social activities. Whatever the case, we could still use more of you around. ^_^ | |

....Yeah...social nerd. I didn't know those existed! Sounds like an oxymoron or a contradictory in terms @_@
one more week...one more week...
This is how it is spelled:
c'est la vie
:) *goes back to correcting zillionz of English papers*
Slept for 14 hours. Sleep is good....
My head hurts from laying down for so long. D: D: D:
80 pages of the yearbook were mailed in yesterday. HUZZZZAHHHH!!!! I called my EIC and her response was..."oh, ok." NO!!!!!!!! The proper response is JUBILATION AND DANCING ON THE STREETS!! Three more weeks of chaos and it will be over, and the pull to stop students from cutting yearbook will begin. *sigh
In terms of the camera search, thanks for the recommendations! I think it's down to a few...
most likely this one
If I feel like blowing my money...
Considering technology (and having an understanding of print quality), I probably wouldn't get the more expensive one. I just wonder what the difference between the 600 is and the 630 is...their specs are pretty much the same @_@
A few weeks ago, or days ago...I can never really keep track anymore, I received a little flier, asking if my information was correct for a high school reunion. I thought it was junk mail. But, actually, it's kinda not junk mail. For future reference, if I feel like burning money when work is in full swing:
First entry from my new Mac laptop. My money...it slips from my fingers.
So does time. Lots of work to do. Need to work on letters of rec, although I am falling asleep in front of the screen. You see...life has become more complex. Due to the recent string of theft at school, myself and yearbook being one of them, a security/alarm system has been installed. That's good. But what is bad is that I cannot work at school. I don't have a place where I can work anymore. That makes me less productive. Instead of grading papers, I spent it surfing the internet and cleaning. My room is much more orderly. It's nice. But my pile of work is still there, DAMMIT.
So much procrastinating, so little time. I go now. Will in Seattle later this week. It'll be great separating my toothpaste from my laptop from the rest of my luggage. Anything else I need to know about flying? Please tell me soon; I don't want to spend another 13 hours on flights and in airports.
Storm has a few coping mechanisms, to counter these last few bad days...and the ones to come. Bought this song; it's nice...try it.
Put Your Records On (Acoustic) - Corinne Bailey Rae, sorry, not a download. Bought it on iTunes.

Hmmm....I chose the wrong month to sign up for the Threadless 12 club. Any one want it before I e-bay it? Girl's Medium.
I'm actually trying to install a security precaution (well, requirement). Jery's been elbowing me about getting it done, so I looked it up today and will test it out. It's the one that Brett already has on his, the "please type this in order to sumbit your comment" plugin. Searching for information can get dull and every once in a while, I feel like being a little narcissistic. I typed "jackstorm" into my google bar.
Interesting things happen.
First, I'm very glad that I bought jackstorm.com. It might have gone to a professional wrestler in the UK. I didn't even know that wrestling, in the form of the man's soap opera, even existed in Europe. I'll have to ask my friends in Britain about it.
Second, I am a googlism. It's not phenominal or anything. It just says that "jackstorm is able to update her blog from prc." That I did...over four years ago. Good for googlism. They found out that I was in China...*taps on phone receiver to get phone tapper's attention*..that I was in China, did you get that copied down correctly? Good little person, go have some sha-sha mien in my absence. (this seems like a pretty good dictionary, if anyone's interested)
Ok, ok, back to work. Many essays to go.
*edit* I'm such a bum...I need to work...the script works!!! The security code image is ugly...but it works!
I have a sub tomorrow because I'm taking a "mental health" day. Still working, without needed to be in front of students all day.
Mushishi is good. I want to burn it and give it to Jery and Linh.
I'm still tired.
We have a "green" dot for the pages for our yearbook. That's good. It's not red...yet. The next few days are gonna be crazy...
Coffee is my friend. Hello coffee. I depend way too much on caffine.
Comenting system for MT is becoming busted again.
Nap or work? Both please.
2 MORE WEEKS UNTIL SPRING BREAK!!! God, how I need it...
No serious entries for you!
I don't watch anime much anymore. No time. Bad plot lines. Lazy. The one series I have been following is Mushishi (English information), a quiet, fairy-tale/folk-tale animation set in a more rural, innocent Japan. Each episode contains some insight into the human condition. Simple but poignant. Calm and subtle.
Well, I downloaded the Openning Theme, which, like the series, is calm and poetic...untiil I listened to the entire song. It starts out fine:
"I walked ten thousand miles
ten thousand miles to see you.
And every gasp of breath
I grabbed it just to find you..."
But then, things get a bit freakish...
"I stole 10 thousand pounds (assuming this was written by a British person),
10 thousand pounds to see you.
I robbed convenience stores
'cause I thought that'd make it easier. (WHAT!?)
I lived off rats and toads and I starved
for you.
I fought off giant bears and I killed
them too
It goes back to the chorus, back to being pleasant. I have to admit that fighing off bears is impressive, albeit unnecessary. Starving and living off of rats is a bit of a turn off though. Hmm...well, enjoy the short version. If you want the more colorful version, message me.
I think Linh will find this interesting:
First, this BBC article on Philipino names.
And second, what was your lab-friend wanting to do with Homestar Runner?...

My mother just tried convincing me to eat one of her stewed mushrooms, by claiming that it was a vegetable. o_________o "What?! It's not even a plant!" Crazy parents.
Yes...I don't write for a month and I return to give you this news. I'll write something more substantial when between stacks of grading papers.
Friendster CONNED me into loggin in! They sent me an e-mail, saying that someone I know a few ... spheres (whatever those friend circles are), but it was a LIE! She didn't send me a request to be added as her friend! STUPID FRIENDSTER!! >:(
Anyway...Jackie needs to schedule in Harry Potter. Anyone interested in watching it with me?
Howl's Moving Castle...wooow...4 discs! I'm tempted by the option to play audio in Cantonese...because I'm strange like that.
I've been clicking on various links around gmail and reading the little blurbs. They sound like something Brett would say.
Watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The first one gave me nightmares. This one is creepier than the first one, but not as scary, probably because the audience knows what to expect. Depp really does come off as being very "Michael Jackson." Euch....>_<
I need to work...no more RO...work!
frinkin' EHHHHH!!!!!!!! Dawg, your stupid server is rejecting my IP, to leave comments on your blog. Good job! Now you know why people don't respond to you!
Jackie's head hurts. It's been hurting for a while. Hopefully it's not something ER-ish.
My desktop has decided to retart itself. This began yesterday. I take this as a not-so-good sign. Perhaps it wants some attention. Perhaps it does not want me to play RO for more than 2 minutes. Perhaps my hard drive is uncomfortably full. Jackie does not know....but she would like it NOT to restart in the middle of Word, when she's making handouts for her students.
Any theories as to why the random restarts? Any would be helpful.
title says it
...a while later...I'm tired, and I still can't get stylecatcher to work. I keeps telling me that I have an error, to configure the plugin. I think the prompts are off.
*update* testing stylesheets, because I'm a lazy bum. Something's not right with them though.
*update again* Gawd DAMMIT!! One plugin refuses to work, so I'm working with it manually (no nifty script) and the other requires me to sign up for a service. This is looking bad, MT.
